For over 20 years the San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council has been bringing world-class jazz to our classrooms and the historic Cactus Hotel. Shows are generally opened by local, school-based jazz bands and featured performers come from around the world. The venue is the restored lobby and mezzanine of Conrad Hilton's 6th hotel built in 1929. The atmosphere is intimate and unlike any other. The sound quality is superb. Doors open at 7:00 PM, there is drink service, but no food. This is a non-smoking venue. Please no small children. Our concert environment is structured for listening to and appreciating great music. We ask that conversation level be kept respectful to fellow audience members and our featured artists! Artists are allowed to sell cds and other merchandise.
